Day trip to Asheville

Since being done with the Whole 30 diet, I have found myself wanting to eat everything in sight. The first opportunity I had to eat something with sugar in it, I took it. I celebrated with a nice piece of cake early in the morning. I regretted it about 10 minutes later, but it tasted so good. To continue the celebrating, my friends I decided to go to Asheville, NC for a day trip.

I was in charge of deciding where we should eat for lunch. Picking a restaurant for 6 girls is a difficult task. Not everyone is going to like the same things. I was looking for a classic Asheville restaurant that would satisfy my cravings for a carb-loaded meal. Instead of walking around for hours looking for a restaurant, I decided to search with the hashtag #ashevilleeats on Instagram.

I was able to see thousands of post by other users who wanted to share their finds. Within in minutes, I discovered Bhramari Brewing Company.

It was a beautiful day, and the atmosphere at the restaurant made for a relaxing meal with friends. They had an open concept eating room that flooded out onto the porch, where people were playing games and enjoying their local beer. I ordered the Bhramari Burger, a spent grain fed beef burger, with stout wort glaze, hop smoked American truffle cheese, crispy onions, oaked mayo, candied bacon, and pickles on a Geraldine’s bun. It was awesome.

and fries of course!
