27 days of Whole 30

I am on my 27th day of the Whole 30 diet. My mom thought it was a good idea to have to the whole family do Whole 30 together back at the beginning of January. Now that I am on my own, while back at school it has been a challenge. If you are unaware of what Whole 30 is, it’s basically a detox for 30 days. You cannot have sugar, grains, alcohol, dairy, legumes (peanuts), soy products, and really anything artificial.

These days I have been eating a lot of meats and vegetables. One of my go-to ingredients to use at almost any time of the day has been pomegranates. There are full of flavor and can really add color and texture to any dish. I can quickly look on Pinterest to find ideas on how to incorporate pomegranates into my meals.

What has been most helpful for figuring out what to eat every day has been the Whole 30 official recipe Instagram page. They have so many ideas that make cooking easier and it still tastes good. They do a great of job of capturing food that looks appetizing even if you are sacrificing some of your favorite items, like cheese! I can not wait until January is over so that I can eat cheese again. Here are a few of my favorite posts from the last few weeks.
