Making a cake from a box doesn’t have to be a bad thing. A part of me said that I would never make cake from a box again, just becuase when you make it from scratch it tastes so much better. There are times when using a box is just a lot easier. All the ingredients are measure for you and you only have to add a few more to have an instant cake ready in less than an hour.
For birthdays in my house, we usually make cake for each other. Being college students, no one has time to make a cake from sratch, so people have been making cake from a box. More recently, I was tasked with making the classic Pillsbury Funfetti cake from a box. I wanted it to taste good, so I quickly google “how to make box cake mix taste better”. There were so many tips and tricks and simple switches to make your cake have a deeper flavor and texture. I cam across an Insagram account called @cassidyeats, where she had a post about “How boxed cake mix doesnt have to taste bad”. I followed her instructions on swapping oil for butter, and it mades the world of a difference. I got so many compliments from people saying that this cake was some of the best cake they have ever had, but little did they know it was a simple trick that I learned on Instagram that gave me all the success!
